We thought to explain the origin of our company’s name as the question has come up repeatedly from our clients, colleagues, and partners. So, here is our brand story…
“Rimon” means pomegranate in Hebrew and symbolizes fruitfulness that comes from abiding by wise principles, which are righteousness, knowledge, and wisdom.
“Ark” represents safety vessels that provided protection and confidence during the most significant transitions in human history.

Rimon, רימון
The word pomegranate, “rimon” in Hebrew, is derived from the Latin words “pomum” (apple) and “granatus” (seeded). Grown in the Mediterranean region for several thousand years, this remarkable fruit is rich in symbolism and there are specific references to the pomegranate in the Bible.
Jewish tradition teaches that the pomegranate is a symbol of righteousness because it is said to have 613 seeds, which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot, or commandments, of the Torah. For this reason and others, it is customary to eat pomegranates on Rosh Hashanah. Moreover, the pomegranate represents fruitfulness, knowledge, learning, and wisdom.
Although the pomegranate is an ancient symbol steeped in tradition, it has re-emerged in contemporary culture, not only because of its beauty and rich history, but because the pomegranate is quite desirable for its healthy, antioxidant qualities.
Botanically, the fruit is produced from the ovary of a single flower and can have anywhere from 200 to 1,200 seeds.

Ark in the bible represented the vessels that a) contained the writings of Jewish law, Torah, and b) provided secure passage for Noah’s family during the most significant transition in human history. See the Webster dictionary definition.
In both cases, Ark was safety vessels that provided security and protection during major life-changing transitions. With every significant transition, there are many unknowns. And these unknowns present uncertainties, risks, and opportunities.
